The Key Communities lead partner,
bpha, specialises in affordable housing provision in long-term major developments – typically urban extensions of around 1,000+ new homes and new, often much larger, settlements.
The Housing Corporation has awarded funding allocations for phases of seven major strategic schemes:
- Mawsley Village, Kettering
- Former RAF Cardington, Bedford
- Arbury Park, Cambridge Northern Fringe
- Paston Reserve, Peterborough
- Newton Leas, Milton Keynes
- North Brickhill, Bedford
- Loves Farm, St Neots
Development of the new
Mawsley Village in Northamptonshire, where
bpha is building 112 Housing Corporation-funded mixed tenure homes, is well underway. Working closely with Kettering Borough Council and the developers,
bpha has helped to ensure successful pre-planning consultations and has also facilitated the provision of a GP surgery.
Having previously built extensively in the new Cambridgeshire settlement of Cambourne,
bpha is now the preferred RSL partner for
The Wixams in Bedfordshire and also involved in the planning stages for Northstowe in Cambridgeshire.
bpha is also building new affordable homes at
Arbury Park – the largest single development in Cambridgeshire for more than 20 years – in partnership with members of Key Communities and other housing associations.
Through the Housing Corporation’s ground-breaking
Cambridge Challenge pilot scheme, Cambridgeshire Partnerships is delivering more than 3,000 new homes on three strategic sites close to Cambridge. The
bpha-led partnership unites some of the most experienced and successful providers of affordable housing and care services in the country and includes two Key Communities partners, King Street Housing Society and The Papworth Trust.
